You might know Will Meyers from Nickelodeon's Bella and the Bulldogs or Disney's Invisible Sister, but we wanted you to get to know him as we have over the past couple of years: one of the most talented, driven guys in the entertainment industry. He's more than an actor, his guitar playing rivals his acting, and his songwriting measures up to both! Not only that, he works as an Ambassador for mental illness and suicide prevention.
We first met Will through a mutual friend when we were creating a event for our do good business, 13 Wishes. We asked around for the most talented, friendly people to join the lineup, and we definitely got more than we could have ever asked for with Will. He is so so so gifted, has a heart of gold, and loves Heath Ledger, what could be better?!
You could compare Will's charm with that of Ledger's own; His charisma and enthusiasm transcend the screen and stage, and his drive, dedication, kindness, and perseverance make him the perfect star on the rise to watch for! Here's Will Meyers, and if you don't know his name already, you should, trust us.
How do you know the Ya Sisters?
I met the sisters at a charity cabaret show they put together in LA, I was invited by a mutual friend of ours. All of the profits went to benefit arts education for students in places with little to no access to it, which I know we all felt very connected to. All of the performers were such wonderful, talented people, I had a really great time.

How do you balance school and extracurriculars?
I actually just graduated, but when I was in high school I took all my academic classes in an online learning system called APEX. It was really helpful because it made my schedule super flexible so I wouldn’t have to miss class when I had an audition and I could finish the semester as early as I wanted.

Our message is that it's okay to reach out and seek help and that if you ever have worries that a loved one might be struggling with mental illness, just asking how they're doing could make a big difference.

What’s your advice to incoming performers like you?
Don’t be discouraged, it’s not gonna happen overnight.
Favorite audition story.
I was auditioning for a frat guy in college in a short film and was in the room with 3 other guys I had just met. We had to make a believable performance that we all had known each other for years and had considered each other family, which is a challenge in itself, but on top of that we had to improvise the dialogue. It super messy, but I really connected with the other guys over the struggle to portray a several year long friendship with people you had just met minutes before. It was a lot of fun.
What inspires you?
Any story you hear on the news about average, everyday people doing little things to help others. It makes me realize that you don’t have to have political power or celebrity status or ridiculous amounts of money to make a difference.
Who inspires you?
Heath Ledger made me want to start acting, specifically his role in A Knight’s Tale (who was ironically named William), along with Christopher Reeves in Superman and Antonio Banderas in Zorro.
Will inspires us to follow our dreams and really put in the work to succeed. We admire his dedication to bring awareness to something that is very important: mental illness.
