How do you get motivated to exercise?

Dance, yoga, pilates, surfing, anything that gets my body moving makes me happier!

What inspires you?

Passionate, driven people. Also, the ocean.

Who inspires you?

My sister. She’s pretty rad.

What would you tell yourself one year ago?

Whatever is going to happen is going to happen. Be resilient. Do something and stop eating so many french fries.

How did you get where you are?

I try not to let opportunities pass me by. Also practice, practice, practice and do what you love.

What is the one thing you wish there was a cure to?

Lyme Disease.

How do you give back?

①③ Wishes by The Ya Sisters is a way that my sister and I give back to communities through art in creative ways.

What do you think is necessary to improve our education system?

Acknowledgement that grades don’t mean everything. Also never don’t apply to a college that you may think you don’t have a chance of being accepted into, you never know what they’re looking for.

…what about our world?

Actually listening, not just hearing. Communication rather than just a text. Also, consideration of other humans and kindness.

Five things you’d bring from your medicine cabinet if you knew you were going to be stranded on a desert island: 

1. Face Wash

2. Frankincense

3. Leave In Conditioner

4. Sea Kelp (but that's probably already there on the island...)

5. Eyelash Curler.

I've been using this for five years and I'm still on the same bottle, not because I don't use it every time after I wash my hair, but because it literally never runs out. This smells amazing and gets all the tangles out of my hair after a long day, and trust me, my hair gets really knotted. I also use this shampoo and conditioner!

 

I think when I find a product that works  I really stick with it. My shower is never without a good face wash.
