We grew up in New York City, Maya performing on Broadway (Mary Poppins, Evita, Les Miz) and Tehya dancing with at the Lincoln Center in the School of American Ballet. A few years ago we traded our school uniforms for surfboards and moved to Venice. Even though we are both very different, we are best friends and each other's #1 fans. We thought some people might be interested in a glimpse into our world of rad friends with great advice, beauty inside and out, and causes we care about through our do-good business 13 Wishes :)

I am Maya Jade Frank, a 17-year-old performer and entrepreneur. I grew up in the Big Apple (New York City) and thanks to my older sister, Tehya, I found my passion for the theater. I started performing at 6-years-old in shows off-Broadway and at community theater's such as Hurricane: A New Musical, Beauty & The Beast, The Secret Garden and more. At  9-years-old I was cast as Little Cosette in the Les Misérables 25th Anniversary National Tour. She travelled all over the United States; Visiting over twenty states allowed me to learn history in 4D by taking advantage of the historical landmarks and teachable moments each city had to offer. Les Misérables opened my eyes to how much I love to explore, listen, learn, and give back to my community. When I returned home, EVITA on Broadway became my next adventure. Then came Mary Poppins...the most exercise I got on a stage ever!! I am an Emmy-Nominated actress for Nickelodeon’s History and Heritage and most recently can be seen as Belissa in Disney Channel’s Bizaardvark

Alessandra Tehya-Rose Frank is a 21-year-old ballerina, songwriter, and writer; she lives in Los Angeles, but grew up in New York City where her childhood was filled with dancing at the School of American Ballet alongside the New York City Ballet for many years, singing with the children's chorus at the Metropolitan Opera and playing shows with her original music at venues such as The Bitter End.

Tehya has had the opportunity to work alongside inspiring artists learning incredible lessons along the way, including Jennie Ford (dance captain for Broadway's Evita, American In Paris, and more), Tony Marion (Producer of Broadway's Big Fish, Groundhog Day, The X-Magazine, and more) & Drew Lawrence (Songwriter for Lea Michelle, Christina Perri, Kelly Clarkson, and more). Tehya is a contributing writer to Ariana Huffington's Thrive Global online magazine, where she shares about the impact of our healthcare system on patients living with invisible illnesses in the hopes that it will make what is invisible, visible.
